In view of the fact that the issue involved in both the Writ Petitions is one and the same, both the Writ Petitions are taken up together for hearing and disposed of by a common order. 2.In both the Writ Petitions the petitioners have challenged the election notification issued by the second respondent on 19.09.2018.
3.Heard Mr.M.Jegadeesh Pandian, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioners, Mr.K.Chellapandian, learned Additional Advocate General assisted by Mr.A.K.Bhaskarapandian, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
4.The election notification was issued on 19.09.2018 but the Writ Petitions have been filed only two days before the last date for filing nomination, namely, 06.10.2018. Since the election process had commenced and in view of the huge delay, we are unable to entertain these Writ Petitions and both the Writ Petitions are dismissed. No costs. Consequently, the Writ Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
