ORDER
The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking a direction, directing 2nd respondent to dispose his application dated 20.07.2016 seeking to cancel the document No.3915/2014, registered in office of the Sub Registrar, Aranthangi, Pudukkottai District, within a stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court.
2.According to the petitioner, he has filed an application before the second respondent to cancel the settlement deed, on 20.07.2016. After receipt of the above petition, the second https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
respondent also issued notices to the concerned parties and asking them to appear for enquiry on 22.08.2016. According to the petitioner, on that day, the petitioner appeared, but the respondent did not appear and hence, the application filed by the petitioner is still pending with the second respondent. In the above circumstances, he has filed the present writ petition. 3.Heard the submissions made on either side and perused the documents carefully.
4.Since the application filed by the petitioner, dated 20.07.2016, is pending with the second respondent, the second respondent is directed to consider the application filed by the petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after affording an opportunity of hearing of all parties.
5.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
