Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent herein to grant permission and to provide police protection to conduct the Aadalum Paadalum dance programme on 09.05.2017 from 8.00p.m. to 12.00p.m. in pursuant to the Chithirai Festival of Sree Periyanayagi Amman Thirukoil, situated at Mela Ponnanviduthi Village, Karambakudi Taluk, PudukkottaiDistrict,by considering the petitioner's representation dated 24.04.2017.

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondent to give necessary permission for conducting Adalpadal programme in the place mentioned therein, by way of issuing a Writ of Mandamus. 2.Mr.K.Guru, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondent.

considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

4.In fine, this Writ Petition is allowed in part without costs and the respondent is directed to look into the representation dated 24.04.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
