: Respondent/ Contemnor Prayer: Contempt Petition is filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, praying to initiate contempt proceedings and call upon the contemnor / respondent for willful disobedience of the order passed by this Court in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.3790 of 2019 dated 13.03.2019 and punish him.

Petition filed under section 482 of Cr.PC praying this Court direct the 2nd respondent police to file final report in Cr.NO.145 of 2016 dated 29/05/2016.

O R D E R

This Court, by an order dated 13.03.2019, in Crl.O.P.(MD) No.3790 of 2019, directed the respondent to complete the investigation in Crime No.145 of 2016 and file a final report within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the said order. Since the order was not complied with, the present Contempt Petition has been filed.

2. Today, when the Contempt Petition was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent, on instructions, submitted that the investigation in Crime No.145 of 2016 has been completed and final report has also been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tirumangalam and the same is yet to be taken on file.

3. Recording the aforesaid submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent, the Contempt Petition is closed, as no further order is required.
