..Respondent Prayer : This petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to take appropriate action under the criminal law pursuant to petitioner complaint dated 07.12.2017 and 28.05.2019 in the light of the dictum laid down by the Honourable Supreme Court of India in the case of Lalita Kumari vs. Government of Uttar Pradesh and Ors. Reported in (2014) 2 SCC 1 as expeditiously as possible within the time stipulation as prescribed by this Honourable court For Petitioner : Mr.M.Ponniah For Respondent : Mr.R.M.Anbunithi Additional Public Prosecutor

ORDER

This Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to take appropriate action under the criminal law pursuant to petitioner's complaints dated 07.12.2017 and 28.05.2019 in the light of the dictum laid down by the Honourable Supreme Court of India in the case of Lalita Kumari vs. Government of Uttar Pradesh and Ors. Reported in (2014) 2 SCC 1 as expeditiously as possible within the time frame fixed by this Court.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that so far no complaint has been received from the petitioner as alleged in the petition filed in support of the writ petition. 3.In view of the same, the petitioner is at liberty to lodge fresh complaint before the jurisdictional police station within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P (MD).No. 16624 of 2021 and on receipt of the same, the concerned jurisdictional police is directed to conduct enquiry and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible.

4. With the above direction, the Writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
