PRAYER: Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents to produce the person and body of the petitioner's son namely V.R.Rojer Stein, son of A.Rajan, aged 25 years, before this Court and set him liberty. ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA,J.) The petition is filed to direct the respondents to produce the person and body of the petitioner's son namely V.R.Rojer Stein, son of A.Rajan, aged 25 years, before this Court and set him liberty. 2.The case of the petitioner is that his son viz., V.R.Rojer Stein was missing on 30.04.2025. Pursuant to which, the petitioner has given a complaint to the third respondent to find out the whereabouts of his missing son. The respondent police have registered a case in Crime No.131 of 2025 under "Man Missing". Since no action had been taken by the respondent police to find out the whereabouts of the petitioner's son, the present Habeas Corpus Petition is filed. 2/5
3.When the matter was taken up for hearing before this Court on 19.06.2025, this Court had directed the respondent police to file a Status Report. 4.Today the Status Report has been filed by the third respondent and the said Status Report is taken on file.
5.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents submitted that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Crime No.131 of 2025 was registered under "Man Missing" on the same day. He would further submit that all endeavours are taken by the respondent police to find out the whereabouts of the petitioner's son and as and when the petitioner's son is traced, it will be intimated to the petitioner. 6.Taking into consideration the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court directs the third respondent to continue with the investigation and the second respondent, viz., The Deputy Superintendant of Police, Kanyakumari, is directed to monitor the investigation periodically.

7.With the above observation, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands disposed of.
