ORDER
This Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondent to consider his representation, dated 04.04.2016 for granting patta in Survey No.178/10 consists of 24 cents situated in Patharakudi Post, Karaikudi Taluk, Sivagangai District. 2.Mr.R.Anandharaj, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondent and by consent of both parties, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal. 3.According to the petitioner, an extent of 24 cents in Survey No.178/10 situated in Patharakudi Post, Karaikudi Taluk, Sivagangai District is in his possession and enjoyment for a long time. Hence, the petitioner made an application to the respondent to grant patta. After receipt of the application, the SubCollector directed the Tahsildar, Karaikudi, to conduct an enquiry on his application and submit a report. Pursuant to the same, the Tahsildar also conducted an enquiry with the petitioner and thereafter, no action has been taken and the same is still pending https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
with the respondent.
4.In view of the above, the respondent is directed to pass orders on the application submitted by the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order, after giving notice of hearing to all the parties concerned.
5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
