This is a writ of mandamus seeking direction to the the Respondents particularly the 1st Respondent to fix the date of promotion of the petitioner as Junior Assistant notionally on par with his junior.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents. 3.Several representations have been given starting from 06.01.2009. By the communication dated 21.01.2009, the petitioner has been informed that he must approach the Joint Commissioner (Commercial Tax) for fixation of pay on par with his junior. Accordingly, the Joint Commissioner (Commercial Tax) is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner lastly submitted on 20.04.2015 and to pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
