ORDER
The prayer in this writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to enroll the petitioner under the crop insurance scheme in the year 2018-2019 and issue land tax receipt to the petitioner's land bearing in Survey No.320/5 and 280/1B situated at Govindamangalam Village, R.S. Mangalam Taluk, Ramanathapuram District based on the petitioner's representation dated 14.06.2019. 2.Heard Mr.P.R.Boomee Rajan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.B.Bhagawathy, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.
3.With the consent of both sides, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.
4.The petitioner on 14.06.2019 has given a representation to the respondents, especially, the 4th respondent for passing necessary orders regarding the crop insurance and to give a receipt to that effect and all that, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner wants is that, let the said representation be decided by the 4th respondent, within a time frame.
5.I have heard the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, who would submit that, the said representation of the petitioner dated 14.06.2019 would be decided by the 4th respondent and orders would be passed thereon, within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court.
6.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in the writ petition, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition, with the following direction:
"The 4th respondent is hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 14.06.2019, with regard to his grievance of crop insurance and pass orders thereon, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
7.With this direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
