ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 409 and 420 I.P.C., in Crime No.267 of 2018, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was working as a Clerk in Kothaimangalam Panchayat and he had misappropriated an amount of Rs.6,61,711/- from the Panchayat account.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner had deposited the entire amount. In order to substantiate the same, the petitioner has filed a typed set of paper containing 11 receipts, in order to prove that the amount has been deposited by the petitioner.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner has deposited the amount and the investigation is at the final stages.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner with certain conditions. Accordingly, the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail in the event of arrest or on his appearance before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Palani and on his executing a bond https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Magistrate concerned and on further condition that the petitioner shall appear before the respondent police as and when required for interrogation. The petitioner shall comply with the conditions stipulated under Section 438 Cr.P.C. scrupulously. 6.The petitioner shall appear before the concerned Magistrate within a period of 15 days from the date on which the order copy made ready, failing which, the petition for anticipatory bail shall stand dismissed.
