Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to give permission to conduct Pongal festival Competition like cycle race and other sports events at North Thiraniyampatti Village, Vellor Post, Musiri Taluk, Trichy District based upon the petitioner's representation dated 07.01.2017.

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission to conduct Pongal Festival Competition in the place mentioned in the petition on the basis of representation dated 07.01.2017, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus. 2.Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents.

3.It is seen from the records that on 07.01.2017 the petitioner has given a representation.

5.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the second respondent viz., Inspector of Police, Musiri Police Station is directed to look into the representation dated 07.01.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of three days.
