ORDER

The petitioner has approached this Court seeking a direction to the Respondent to number the Petitioner's Appeal which was filed on 20.03.2017 pending on the file of the Respondent. 2.This Court's extraordinary jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India cannot be invoked for such a prayer. It is not for this Court to direct the respondent to number the appeal said to have been filed by the petitioner. The respondent is a revenue official and he is exercising his jurisdiction under statute. Such being the case, this Court cannot give a direction to number the so called appeal filed by the petitioner. Such a writ petition is totally misconceived and the same is not maintainable. Further, this Court is also of the view that the jurisdiction of this Court cannot be casually invoked for such a kind of petty matter.

3.In the circumstances, there is no merit in the Writ Petition and therefore the same is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
