ORDER

According to the petitioner, he obtained Ph.D., in Environmental Science from the 1st respondent University and now, he wants an equivalence certificate as Ph.D., in Electro Chemistry. Therefore, he submitted representations dated 18.07.2016 and 15.09.2016 to the first respondent. Since no order has been passed, the petitioner has filed this writ petition. 2.It is submitted by the learned counsel for the first respondent that the first respondent has no power to issue equivalence certificate as sought for by the petitioner. 3.Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that it would be suffice if the representation of the petitioner is directed to be considered by the first respondent within a stipulated period of time.

4.In view of the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of directing the first respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 18.07.2016 and 15.09.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
