ORDER

The prayer in this writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second Respondent to register the petitioner's society by name Vembangudi periyakanmaai Water Irrigation Farmers Society under section 10 of Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1975 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 24.07.2019 within a time stipulated by this Court.

2.Heard Mr.V.Kannan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Murugan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3.With the consent of both sides, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

4.The petitioner, in order to register the petitioner's Sangam under the Societies Registration Act, has given all documents to the 2nd respondent and in this regard, a representation also has been made on 24.07.2019. Hence, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that, based on the said representation, if the papers submitted by the petitioner to the 2nd respondent for registration is considered and if the issue of registration of the Sangam is decided by the 2nd respondent and needful is undertaken within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court, the petitioner would be satisfied.

5.I have heard the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, who, on instructions, would submit that, very recently, the petitioner has submitted the papers to the 2nd respondent and the representation also had been given only on 24.07.2019. Therefore, if at all, the 2nd respondent has to consider the same, he needs a breathing time and at any rate, within a shortest possible time, the said request of the petitioner would be decided on merits and in accordance with law and final order to that effect would be passed.

6.Having regard to the said submission made by both sides, since the papers seems to have been submitted by the petitioner recently to the 2nd respondent and the representation also has been given very recently i.e. on 24.07.2019, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition, with the following direction: "The 2nd respondent is hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.07.2019, along with necessary papers submitted by the petitioner for the registration of the petitioner Sangam under the provisions of Registration Act and decide the issue and pass final orders thereon, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."

7.With this direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
