ORDER
This writ petition is filed for a mandamus directing the respondent to number the original application filed by the petitioner on 25.05.2026 in respect of Kaliamman Temple, Oonjampatti, Theni District. 2.The petitioner claims that the property was dedicated to the temple and the temple was put up and maintained by his forefathers and therefore, he is claiming hereditary trusteeship and for the said purpose has filed an application under Section 63 B of the Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Institutions Endowments Act, 1959. However, they said application is not even numbered. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.
3.When the matter came up for hearing, the learned counsel took notice on behalf of the respondent would submit that the same will be numbered shortly and it will be disposed of as expeditiously as possible. 4.In view thereof, this writ petition is disposed of on the following terms:
(i)Within two weeks from the date of receipt of the web copy of the order, the application filed by the petitioner shall be numbered if the same is in order, and thereafter notices shall be issued to the petitioner and any other person interested and the application shall be decided as expeditiously as possible, in any event not later than eight months from the date of receipt of the copy of the order.
