Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission and necessary protection to conduct Rekla Race scheduled to be held on 31.05.2017 between 7.00 am and 10.00 am from R.V.S. Farm to Serankulam Village situated Karungulam to Moolaikaraipatti Village Road on the eve of Sri Udaiyadi Sudalaimada Swamy Temple festival, Karungulam by considering the petitioner's representations dated 13.04.2017 and 17.04.2017.

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting Rekla Race in the place mentioned therein, by way of issuing a Writ of Mandamus. 2.Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents. 3.It is seen from the records that on 13.04.2017 a representation has been given, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

costs and the second respondent is directed to look into the representation dated 13.04.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
