O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the fourth respondent to consider the appeal pending on his file in Na.Ka.No. 8615/2022/A3 and pass suitable orders for grant of patta in the name of petitioner in respect of the property in S.Nos.49/2 and 49/3 in Thirucherai Village, Kumbakonam Taluk, Tanjore District.

2. Heard the arguments of Mr.S.Madhavan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Baskaran, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent Nos.1 to 4.

3. It is seen from the enquiry notice issued by the 4th respondent in Na.Ka.No.8615/2022/A3, dated 18.04.2023, the petitioner filed a revision before the 4th respondent seeking cancellation of patta that stands in the name of the 5th respondent and issuance of patta in his name 2/4

in respect of the property situated in S.No.49/2 and the enquiry was conducted on 27.04.2023. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that though enquiry was initiated as early as 2023, till date the same is not disposed of.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader, who appear for respondents 1 to 4 would submit that the enquiry initiated by the 4th respondent will be concluded within the time stipulated by this Court.

5. In view of the same, the 4th respondent is directed to complete the enquiry initiated by him in Na.Ka.No.8615/2022/A3, dated 18.04.2023 and pass final orders on its own merits, after affording reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and the 5th respondent, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
