ORDER

The Contempt Petition has been filed for non-compliance of the order dated 21.02.2022 passed in Crl.O.P.(MD No.13717 of 2021 by this Court, thereby directed the first respondent to issue necessary direction to the second respondent to de-freeze the savings bank account of the petitioner forthwith, further directed the first respondent to complete the investigation in Crime No.18 of 2019 and file a final report within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) would submit that as directed by this Court, the first respondent by its communication dated 22.06.2022, directed the second respondent to de-freeze the savings bank account of the petitioner. Subsequently, on 16.08.2024 also issued another communication to the second respondent. However, the petitioner is not permitted to operate his saving bank account. 2/4

3. In view of the above, no contempt made as against the first respondent. Further on the communication sent by the first respondent, the petitioner is permitted to operate his savings bank account No. 402109677918372, current Account No.402529677918372 and fixed deposit No.402200050100432, TMB, Ariyakulam Branch, forthwith.

4. In respect of the completion of investigation is concerned, now the entire investigation, due to administrative reason, there is a delay in completing the investigation. In view of the above, the first respondent is directed to complete the investigation and file final report within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
