The petitioners have approached this Court to quash the proceedings in Crime No.124 of 2024, on the file of the first respondent.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the second respondent is the aggressor in the complaint lodged by the petitioners in Crime No.123 of 2024. This case in Crime No.124 of 2024 has been registered as a counter case. Therefore, he seeks to quash the proceedings in Crime No.124 of 2024. 3.Mr.P.Kottaichamy, learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the first respondent submits that the investigation in Crime No.124 of 2024 has been completed and final report was also made ready on 05.07.2024 and the respondent police is about to file the final report in a day or two. 2/5

4.Recording the submission of the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) that the final report has already been made ready, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to challenge the final report in the manner known to law. The respondent police is directed to file the final report within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and ensure that the final report is taken on file by the concerned Magistrate Court, within a period of two weeks from thereon. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
