ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking to set aside the order passed in Cr.M.P. No. 1475 of 2025 dated 04.06.2025 by the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Sivagangai, and to modify the condition imposed in Cr.M.P. No. 1369 of 2025 dated 22.05.2025, by directing the petitioner to sign before any other police station in any district other than Sivagangai, instead of the respondent police station.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner had filed a bail application before the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Sivagangai, in Cr.M.P. No.1369 of 2025, and the same was allowed on 22.05.2025 with a condition to appear and sign before the respondent police daily at 10:00 A.M. for a period of 30 days, and thereafter, to appear as and when summoned. He would further submit that when the petitioner went to the respondent police station to comply with the said condition, on the very first day, the respondent police threatened the petitioner that a new false case would be registered against him. Furthermore, the petitioner is facing a life threat within the jurisdiction of Sivagangai District. In view of the above, the petitioner filed a petition seeking modification of the bail conditions before the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Sivagangai, in Cr.M.P. No.1475 of 2025. However, the said petition was dismissed on 04.06.2025. Accordingly, he prays to allow this petition. 2/4

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) would submit that the respondent police had already filed a petition for cancellation of bail in Cr.M.P. No. 988 of 2025 before the learned Judicial Magistrate No. II, Sivagangai, seeking cancellation of the bail granted to the petitioner in Cr.M.P. No. 1369 of 2025 dated 22.05.2025. The said petition was allowed on 16.06.2025. Consequently, the bail granted to the petitioner has been cancelled. Therefore, he opposes to allow the petition.

4. Heard the learned counsel on both sides and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, and also taking into account that the bail earlier granted to the petitioner has already been cancelled, this Court is of the view that nothing survives for adjudication in the present petition.
