This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to grant permission and police protection to conduct the programme viz., Cultural Programme in Arulmighu Sri Mutharamman Mariyamman Temple Kodai Festival on 14.8.2019 from 8.00pm to 11.00pm in the petitioner village (Kuttam), Thisaiyanviali Taluk, Tirunelveli District, on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 11.7.2019.

2. Heard both sides.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that seeking permission and protection to conduct the Cultural Programme on 14.8.2019 in the above said temple, the petitioner made a representation on 11.7.2019 to the second respondent and the said representation was not considered so far. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed for the aforesaid relief.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the case, the second respondent is directed

to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 11.7.2019 and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law, forthwith.

5. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
