...respondents PRAYER : Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to implement the recommendations of the 5th respondents dated 30.09.2011 to the 3rd respondents for regularizing the service of their mother namely Periyanayaki and direct the respondents to grant all monetary benefits from 24.06.1976 to till her age of superannuation dated 31.12.2007 as the time may be stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R

This Writ petition has been filed by the petitioners, directing the respondents to implement the recommendations of the 5th respondents dated 30.09.2011 to the 3rd respondents for regularizing the service of their mother namely Periyanayaki and direct the respondents to grant all monetary benefits from 24.06.1976 to till her age of superannuation dated 31.12.2007 as the time may be stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. Mr. C.Selvaraj, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the Writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

4. Though the Writ petition is for issuing a positive direction, the learned counsel for the petitioners submit that the petitioners will be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioners, dated 06.04.2016.

5. Considering the limited scope of the request of the learned counsel for the Writ petitioners, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court is inclined to issue the following direction:- "The respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioners, dated 06.04.2016, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
