ORDER
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by him in 30/TMM/Karisalpatti/2024/P5 dated 11.01.2024 within a time stipulated by this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.D.S.Nedunchezian, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondent.
3. By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

According to the petitioner, the property situated in Old S.No. 37/4 New S.No.37/4B3 in Karisalpatti Village, Thirumangalam Taluk, Madurai South District was acquired for the purpose of laying Thirumangalam - Rajapalayam Four Lane National Highway. The 3rd respondent sent a communication to the petitioner fixing the compensation payable to the petitioner as Rs.1,25,548/-. Not satisifed with the compensation fixed by the competent authority, the petitioner submitted the petition before the 1st respondent seeking enhancement of compensation.
5. In the reply issued to the petitioner under RTI Act, the 1st respondent informed the petitioner that after filing of counter by the land acquisition officer, the petition filed by the petitioner will be considered based on seniority.
6. The petitioner submitted a petition seeking enhancement of compensation was on 11.01.2024. The 1st respondent being an arbitrator appointed under the provisions of National Highways Act, is expected to 3/6
follow the provisions of Arbitration Act and complete the proceedings as early as possible.
7. In such circumstances, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the 1st respondent is directed to consider the application submitted by the petitioner dated 11.01.2024, complete the arbitral proceedings and pass final award within a period of six (6) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
8. The writ petition is disposed of with the above observations. No cost.
