Heard both sides.

2.The Registrar of Birth and Death, Madurai Corporation is directed to consider the petitioner's application for making changes sought for in this writ petition. It is seen that the said authority has statutory power under Rule 11(4) of the Tamil Nadu Registration of Births and Deaths Rules, 2000. I am sure that the petitioner's request will be favourably considered. This exercise shall be completed by the said authority within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
