This Writ petition has been filed by the petitioner, to direct the respondents 2 to 4 to disburse the petitioner's retirement benefits if any by considering the petitioner's representation dated 05.12.2016.

Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for R1 and R3,Additional Government Pleader appearing for R4 and the learned counsel for R2 appearing for the respondents. 3.Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 and 3 and Mr.S.Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent 4. By consent, the Writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
4. Though the Writ petition is for issuing a positive direction, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner will be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 05.12.2016.
5. Considering the limited scope of the request of the learned counsel for the Writ petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court is inclined to issue the following direction:- "The respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 05.12.2016, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
6. Accordingly, the Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
