Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission to conduct cultural event namely "Valli Thirumanam Drama" on 23.05.2017 at about 10.00 p.m. to 05.00 a.m. and i.e., on 24.05.2017 "Kiramiya Kalai Nigalchigal" (Cultural Programme), at about 09.30 p.m. to 12.30 a.m. in connection with "Arulmigu Kalangu Muneeswarar Thirukovil Urchava Festival" at Ayyampatti Village, Salaigiramam Post, Ilayankudi Taluk, Sivagangai District with adequate police protection by considering the petitioner's representation dated 23.04.2017.

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting the programmes mentioned therein, by way of issuing a Writ of Mandamus. 2.Mr.K.Guru, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents.

3.It is seen from the records that on 23.04.2017 a representation has been given, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

4.In fine, this Writ Petition is allowed in part without costs and the second respondent is directed to look into the representation dated 23.04.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
