ORDER

The petitioner, who is running a modern floor mill, namely, Meeran Floor Mill, at 618/2, Venkala Kovil Street, Theni, has approached this Court with a grievance that the respondents have locked and sealed his Mill. 2.Learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the respondents have registered a criminal case that the petitioner was in possession of PDS rice and have also locked and sealed the premises. 3.Learned Special Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that while conducting a surprise inspection on 07.06.2023 in the petitioner's Mill, they found that this petitioner has illegally stoked PDS rice. Therefore, a 2/4

criminal case was registered in Crime No.84 of 2023 and the premises was locked and sealed, in order to prevent the petitioner from destroying the evidence. She further submitted that the seal has now been removed. 4.Recording the submission of the learned Special Government Pleader that the premises was sealed only to prevent the petitioner from destroying the evidence and that the seal has now been removed, this writ petition is closed as no further order is required to be passed.
