Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to dispose of Appeal No.10/2016 preferred by the petitioner against the order of the second respondent passed in Na.Ka.No.8345/E3/2013, dated 30.12.2015 in rejecting his application for an Arms license, within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents. 2.By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
3.According to the petitioner, he filed an application before the second respondent for grant of license and the same has been rejected by the second respondent. Against which, he preferred an appeal before the first respondent on 19.01.2016. The appeal was also taken on file on 20.04.2016 and the same is pending with the first respondent. Hence, he has filed the present Writ Petition.

4.In the above circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, the first respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's appeal, dated 19.01.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
