PRAYER: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.01.2017.

This Writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking the indulgence of this Court to direct the respondents herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.01.2017.
2. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents.
3.Mr. Pala Ramasamy, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the Writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
4. The learned counsel for the respondent submits that the petitioner has not given a representation to the Chief General Manager, State Bank of India, Legal head Office, Nungambakkam, Chennai. According to him, the Chief General Manager is the authority who can consider the request of the petitione. Hence, the petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the Chief General Manager, State Bank of India, Legal head Office, Nungambakkam, Chennai and the above said representation should be made within the period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to submit the representation along with the copy of this order.

Considering the limited scope of the request of the learned counsel for the Writ petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's case, this Court is inclined to issue the following direction:- "On receipt of such representation, the Chief General Manager is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders purely on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
