Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents. 2.By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.The petitioner's father has filed an application seeking patta in respect of his land at Kodaikanal in Town Survey No.1 (old bhimos No.310/B2-B1A) 1.21.0 hectare by way of assignment vide T.K.T.No.82/93, dated 27.07.1984 4.According to the petitioner, as early as on 19.04.1999, the Assistant Settlement Tasildhar has passed an order in his favour. Based on the order, he has filed an application, dated 15.09.2014 before the second respondent and the same is pending with him.

5.In the above circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's application, dated 15.09.2014, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to all the parties concerned or rival claimants if any, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
