Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court To issue a Writ of Mandamus to directing the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioners application dt 26.2.2019 to sub-divide the land measuring to an extent of 30 cents comprised in Survey no. 98/2A2B situated at Kattumavadi village, Manamelkudi Taluk, Pudukkottai Dist and issue patta to the above said land and pass such futher or other orders as this honble court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case and thus render justice For Petitioner : Mr.T.Lenin Kumar For Respondent : Mr.P.Subbaraj, Counsel for State.

O R D E R

The petitioner alleges wilful disobedience of an order dated 20.04.2021 in W.P.(MD).No.4966 of 2021. By such order, the second respondent therein was directed to consider the petitioner's application dated 26.02.2019 and dispose of the same within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the said order.

2. Mr.P.Subbaraj, learned counsel for the State, appears on behalf of the alleged contemnor. He has produced a copy of an order dated 24.09.2021 of the Tahsildar, Manamelkudi by which the request of the petitioner has been rejected. In light of the said communication, no case of contempt is made out. However, it will be open to the petitioner to assail the order dated 24.09.2021 in accordance with law.
