O R D E R

********** (Order of the Court was made by S.VAIDYANATHAN, J.) The petitioner has come forward with this writ petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to protect the 'Gymkhana Marsh' by installing the fence, which is removed from the Kodaikanal lake, by considering the representation of the petitioner, dated 10.06.2023.

2. The learned standing counsel appearing for the respondent Municipality would submit that out of an extent of 4048 running feet for which the fencing has to be done, fencing has been completed to an extent of 1509 running feet and fencing for the remaining extent of 2539 will be completed within a period of two months. He would further submit that while doing fencing, the debris are being removed periodically. He would also state that the restoration will be done under "AMRUT 2.0 Scheme"(Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation Scheme) . 2/4

3. In view of the said submission, no further orders are required in this writ petition. Therefore, this writ petition is closed. No Costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
