PRAYER: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to calculate the selection grade of the petitioner from 01.01.1996 onwards by way of review the petitioner's service record in the head master period by considering the representations of the petitioner dated 06.01.2017.

This Writ petition has been filed by the petitioner, directing the respondents to calculate the selection grade of the petitioner from 01.01.1996 onwards by way of review the petitioners service record in the headmaster period by considering the representations of the petitioner dated 06.01.2017.

2. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.Mr.N.S.Karthikeyan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the Writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Though the Writ petition is for issuing a positive direction, the learned counsel for the petitioner submit that the petitioner will be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 06.01.2017.

5. Considering the limited scope of the request of the learned counsel for the Writ petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court is inclined to issue the following direction:- "The respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 06.01.2017, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."

6. Accordingly, the Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
