PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to direct the second respondent to file the final report in Crime No.239 of 2020 pending on the file of the second respondent police within the time fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to file the final report in Crime No.239 of 2020 pending on the file of the second respondent police within the time fixed by this Court. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that on 21.07.2020 near Ramanathapuram Bus Stand, the accused persons were collecting the amount from the public by using the name of TMMK. Hence, the petitioner filed a petition before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Ramanathapuram in Cr.M.P.No.1208 of 2020 where the learned Magistrate directed the second respondent to register the case. Subsequently, the second respondent registered a case in Crime No.239 of 2020 for the offence punishable under Sections 406, 420, 465 and 468 I.P.C., The grievance of the petitioner is that so far, the second respondent has not filed final report. Hence, the present petition.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that investigation is almost completed and the final report will be filed within a period https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.Considering the submissions made on either side, the second respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file the final report within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
