PRAYER: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 10.10.2014 and 27.03.2017 granting my daughter Sathiyabama suitable appointment on compassionate grounds occasioned due to the indignant circumstance caused due to the death of the petitioner's husband while in service on 04.10.2014. For Petitioner : Mr.M.Joseph Ratheus Terome For Respondents : Mr.C.Selvaraj, Special Government Pleader.

O R D E R

This Writ petition has been filed by the petitioner, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 10.10.2014 and 27.03.2017 granting my daughter Sathiyabama suitable appointment on compassionate grounds occasioned due to the indignant circumstance caused due to the death of the petitioner's husband while in service on 04.10.2014.

2. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the Writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

4. Though the Writ petition is for issuing a positive direction, the learned counsel for the petitioner submit that the petitioner will be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 10.10.2014 and 27.03.2017.

5. Considering the limited scope of the request of the learned counsel for the Writ petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court is inclined to issue the following direction:- "The respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 10.10.2014 and 27.03.2017, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."

6. Accordingly, the Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
