Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first and second respondents to form a steering committee consisting of retired High Court Judge heading the Committee for forming guidelines and selection criteria considering the all round performance of each players Under-16 and select them for the Tamil Nadu State Team or this Court. (Order of the Court was made by G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.) This writ petition has been filed for directing the first and second respondents to form a Steering Committee comprising a retired High Court Judge heading the same for forming guidelines https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
and selection criteria for considering the all round performance of each player Under-16 and for selecting them for Tamil Nadu State Team.
2.The writ petitioner would rely on the representations given by players and parents to the third respondent Dindigul District Cricket Association. The counsel for the writ petitioner would also draw the attention of this Court to the action taken by the Honourable Supreme Court while dealing with the affairs of BCCI and the submission of Lodha panel report.
3.This Court is unable to concur with the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner. Matters such as this cannot be amenable to judicial review. This writ petition is not maintainable. It therefore stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also dismissed.
