Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission and adequate police protection for the celebration birth anniversary of Perumbidugu Mutharayar scheduled to be held on 23.05.2017 at our village to be conducted by petitioner Peravai by considering the representation submitted by the petitioner on 20.04.2017. For Petitioner : Mr.K.Mahendran For RR 1 and 2 : Mr.M.Govindan, Special Government Pleader.

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to grant permission and adequate police protection for celebrating birth anniversary of Perumbidugu Mutharayar on 23.05.2017 in the place mentioned therein, by way of issuing a Writ of Mandamus. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
2.Mr.M.Govindan, learned Special Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents 1 and 2. Considering the nature of the relief sought in the Writ Petition, notice need not be sent to the third respondent.
3.It is seen from the records that the third respondent has already filed W.P(MD)No.6273 of 2017 wherein this Court has directed the respondent therein to consider the representation alleged to have been given by him. Likewise the petitioner has also given a representation dated 20.04.2017. 4.Considering the fact that the petitioner has also given a representation, the second respondent can be directed as stated infra.
5.In fine, this Writ Petition is allowed in part without costs and the second respondent is directed to look into the representation dated 20.04.2017 and dispose of the same along with the representation dated 16.03.2017 given by the third respondent within a period of one week. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
