PRAYER: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent include the petitioner's name in the existing promotion panel (2016-17), for the post of Executive Engineers (Civil), as per his seniority, by disposing his representation dated 11.02.2017.

This Writ petition has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent include the petitioner's name in the existing promotion panel (2016-17), for the post of Executive Engineers (Civil), as per his seniority, by disposing his representation dated 11.02.2017. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner would be satisfied, if a direction is issued to the first respondent to consider his representation dated 11.02.2017, within a time frame stipulated by this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer now sought for before this Court, by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's case, this Court is inclined to pass the following direction:

"The first respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation 11.02.2017, and pass appropriate order in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected W.M.P(MD) No.6343 of 2017 is closed.
