COMMON PRAYER: Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 3rd respondent to issue absorption order to the petitioners within a time frame as fixed by this Court.

For Petitioner : Mr.C.Arul Vadivel alias Sekar (in all WPs) For R1 & R2 : Mr.C.M.Mari Chelliah Prabhu (in all WPs) Additional Government Pleader For R3 : Mr.R.Murali (in all WPs) for Mr.K.Govindarajan COMMON ORDER These writ petitions have been filed seeking a direction to the third respondent to issue absorption order to the petitioners. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents 1 and 2 and the learned counsel for the third respondent. 3.The grievance of the petitioners is that though they are eligible and fully qualified teaching staff for absorption, they are not issued with absorption orders and the non-issuance of absorption orders would affect the annual increment of the petitioners. Seeking such relief, these writ petitions have been filed. 4.Mr.R.

Murali, learned counsel appearing for the third respondent submitted that even during the year 2017, a Committee was constituted so as to look into the issue and to file a consolidated report. But, such constitution of the Committee was challenged by way of filing a writ petition before the Principal Bench of this Court and the same is stated to be pending.

5.Leaving alone such issue, the respondents are bound to pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioners. Accordingly, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 18.11.2016, one way or other and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.The writ petitions are disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Consequently, WMP(MD)Nos.6670 to 6678 of 2017 and 10429 to 10437 of 2017 are closed.
