Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 2nd and 4th respondents to pay adequate compensation to the petitioner, by considering the representation, dated 09.08.2016 within the stipulated time fixed by this Court. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner to issue a writ of Mandamus, to direct the 2nd and 4th respondents to pay adequate compensation to the petitioner, by considering the representation, dated 09.08.2016 within the stipulated time fixed by this Court.

3.The petitioner is the wife of the deceased Ramu, who died in an accident at the time of digging a well for the use of general public under the scheme of "namakku naame" in the village, namely, G.Kallupatti, at periyakulam Taluk, Theni District. The petitioner made a representation dated 09.08.2016 to the 2nd and 4th respondent to pay adequate compensation to the petitioner. But the same was not considered so far. Hence, she has come up with this Writ Petition before this Court. 4.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would be suffice, if the representation of the petitioner dated 09.08.2016, is disposed of by the second respondent as per law. 5.

Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for, this Court, without going into the merits of the petitioner's claim, directs the second and fourth respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 09.08.2016 and pass appropriate orders on its own merit and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.The writ petition is disposed of as above. No costs.
