ORDER

The present Criminal Revision Case has been filed seeking orders to set aside the judgment in C.A.No.5 of 2023 dated 20.09.2023 passed by the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge (FTC), Tenkasi, 1/3

confirming the conviction and sentence imposed by the learned Judicial Magistrate, Alangulam in S.T.C.No.1027 of 2017 vide judgment dated 19.12.2022 and consequently, acquit the petitioner from the aforesaid case.

2. It is seen from the records that this revision was taken at National Lok Adalat and the parties have entered into a compromise and on that basis, a Lok Adalat award came to be passed on 14.12.2024.

3. In view of the settlement between the parties and consequent passing of the award, the judgment of conviction passed by the Courts below are hereby set aside and the accused is acquitted from the charges.

4. In the result, this Criminal Revision Case is allowed. The Lok Adalat award shall form part of this order.
