ORDER

The petitioners are Salesmen of PDS Shops; there is one Salesman in every PDS shop and one helper is handling the job of Salesman; therefore, the Salesmen of PDS shops are struggling to provide consumer articles to the card holders; the respondents have introduced a billing system in PDS shops through SMS with a computer device provided by the 8th respondent; but, so far, no training has been provided to the salesmen of PDS shops to operate the computer device, except one hour training; they are also being compelled by the respondents to enter the Aadhar card and family card details of the consumers in the said device; however, those details are available with the 4th respondent and they can be transferred through online to the computer device of the PDS shops; the computer device provided is also not having enough capacity to store all these particulars; in the absence of Internet facility in the PDS shops, the computer device provided is not functioning properly; the device has no facility to generate bill; the device is also not having key board enabling the salesman of the PDS shop to operate it easily; therefore, the petitioners sent a detailed representation on 03.

09.2016 to provide a well equipped computer device with key board, so that foolproof method of billing is adopted; that representation was not considered and therefore, the petitioners are driven to the extent of filing this writ petition for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to provide a complete computer device with keyboard having bill delivery system to PDS Shops instead of the present billing device provided by the 8th respondent.

2.The learned counsels appearing for the respondents would submit that it is agreeable for the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 03.09.2016 and to make early arrangements to provide a complete computer device with Internet facility, so that the petitioners are not put into any trouble.

3.Recording the above undertaking, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents to comply with the demand made in the representation of the petitioners dated 03.09.2016 within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, W.M.P(MD)Nos.13675 and 13676 of 2016 are closed.
