The prayer in this writ petition is to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission to conduct Jallikattu to be held on 16.06.2026 at Maniyarudaiya Ayyanar Kovil, Maththur Village, Padamaththur, Sivagangai District based on the petitioner's representation dated 21.05.2026.

2. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the respondents are directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 21.05.2026 seeking permission to conduct Jallikattu on 16.06.2026 in the light of G.O.Ms.No.7, Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries Department, dated 21.01.2017 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and the counter parties, if any, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
