Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 6 herein to remove the encroachment of illegal construction of brick wall on public street in S.No.1441/20 in East Tiruchendur Village, Tiruchendur Taluk, Tuticorin restore and maintain the public street as per village revenue records.

************ [Order of the Court was made by G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.] This writ petition has been filed for removal of encroachments said to have been committed by the private respondents on public street in S.No.1441/20 in East Tiruchendur Village, Tiruchendur Taluk, Tuticorin. The writ petitioner has given a representation dated 28.05.2015 in this regard. 2.The learned counsel for the writ petitioner would point out that the Tahsildar, Tiruchendur, Tuticorin District, has already issued a communication dated 24.07.2014 to the 6th respondent herein, calling upon him to remove the encroachment in question. Since, no action was taken, the present writ petition come to be filed. 3.This Court directs the 4th respondent to take appropriate action in accordance with law for removal of the encroachment in question after issuing notice to the affected parties. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of 3 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
