Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to transfer the Patta in favour of the petitioner in respect of the properties comprised in Survey Nos.498/2A, 499/2A, 483/1, 486/A, 487/6, 768/A2 and 768/A3 of Punjai Thottakurichi Village, Manmangalam Taluk, Karur District, on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 06.08.2016 within a time frame fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to transfer the Patta in favour of the petitioner in respect of the properties comprised in Survey Nos.498/2A, 499/2A, 483/1, 486/A, 487/6, 768/A2 and 768/A3 of Punjai Thottakurichi Village, Manmangalam Taluk, Karur District, on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 06.08.2016

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

4. The petitioner filed an application for transfer of Patta before the fourth respondent on 09.04.2016 and however no order has been passed. Hence, the petitioner has made representation before the higher authorities. Despite the same, no order has been passed.

5. In the above circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, the fourth respondent/Tahsildar is directed to pass orders on merits in accordance with law, after giving notice to the petitioner and rival claimants if any, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
