O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to sanction the old age monthly pension under Senior Citizen(Aged person) category to the petitioner and consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.09.2016.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

4. The petitioner filed an application on 06.05.2014, before the first respondent/District Collector, for granting old age pension. The first respondent already forwarded the letter to the second respondent on 13.05.2014, directing him to conduct enquiry and pass orders. Despite the same, no order has been passed and pending with the second respondent from the year 2014. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5. The learned Additional Government Pleader for the second respondent submitted that the second respondent who is an competent authority to grant pension.

6. In the above circumstances, already the application pending for a long time, the second respondent/Tahsildar is directed to consider the petition and pass appropriate orders on merits in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
