Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, learned counsel appearing for the first respondent and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents- 2 to 4.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking a direction,directing the first respondent to dispose the petitioner's appeal, dated 14.06.2016 and pass appropriate orders on the same, within a stipulated time.

4. According to the petitioner, he sought for certain information from the third respondent. As the same was not given as requested by the petitioner in time, he has filed an appeal before the first respondent under Section 19 of the Right to Information Act, 2005 and the said appeal is pending with the first respondent till date, without any disposal.

5. Since the petitioner's appeal, dated 14.06.2016, is pending with the first respondent without any disposal, the first respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's appeal and pass orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
