ORDER

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking a direction, directing the 2nd respondent namely the Revenue Divisional Officer, Dindigul District, to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 09.05.2016 and to dispose the same within a stipulated time.

2. Against the order transferring patta in favour of one Duraipandi and others, the petitioner made a representation before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Dindigul District, seeking to transfer the patta in his favour.

3. Against the order passed by the Tahsildar transferring patta in favour of a person, only a regular appeal will lie before

the Revenue Divisional Officer, under Section 12 of the Tamil Nadu Patta Passbook Act, 1983.

4. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed. However, liberty is given to the petitioner to file an appeal before the Revenue Divisional Officer, challenging the order passed by the Tahsildar. No Costs.
