ORDER

The Writ Petition is filed for a Mandamus, directing the respondents to give effect and issue the Mini Bus permit for the vehicle bearing Registration No.TN-67-E-9365 on or before 14.06.2026.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that all the procedural formalities are over and that the proceedings were also issued on 18.03.2026 itself, and what remains is only the consequential issuance of the permit, which ought to have been issued on or before 14.06.2026. Since the same has not been issued, the petitioner is before this Court.

In reply thereof, the learned Government Standing Counsel, on instructions, would submit that only because, there are subsequent objections on behalf of third parties, the authorities have proposed to conduct another inspection on 08.06.2026. After the said inspection, the necessary action will be taken in accordance with law.

4. In reply thereof, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there is no question of inspection after the proceedings were issued granting he route on 18.03.2026.

5. I have considered the rival submissions made on either side and perused the material records of the case.

6. In any event, when a mandamus is sought for and the respondents submit that they will pass the orders in accordance with law, let the same be passed. Even if the respondents want to undertake any inspection, if it is so advised and is permissible under law, let them conduct the same and final orders relating to the grant of permit be passed well before 14.06.2026 as prayed for by the petitioner. The authorities shall act on the web copy of this order without waiting for the certified copy of the order.

7. The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. 04.06.2026 NCC : Yes/No sji 3/4
