ORDER

This Writ of Mandamus has been filed seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to dispose of the R.T.R. Petition filed by the 2nd respondent on 01.08.2008 within a time frame fixed by the Court. 2.The 2nd Respondent Palanivel applied for registration of his name as tenant in the records maintained by the 1st respondent. Summons was issued by the 1st respondent asking the respondent therein to appear on 23.09.2008. As the petition was not taken up for enquiry, the respondent therein executed a General Power of Attorney dated 17.09.2014 in favour of his father/petitioner herein. Thereafter, the petitioner herein made representations dated 09.03.2015 to the District Collector and subsequently on 11.07.

2016 to the 1st respondent, requesting the District Collector to take action against the alleged tenant in accordance with law as he has grabbed the land of his son. 4.The limited prayer is to direct the 1st respondent to dispose of the RTR proceedings within a time frame.

5.The petition is pending from the year 2008. In the circumstances, the 1st respondent is directed to dispose of the proceedings pending in Ku.U.Pa.5/17/2008 A1 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
